Music for the Week

My taste in music is as random and varied as the majority of the comments that come out of my mouth.  Now that I have mastered the art of riding the subway, and am now skilled enough to ride without having to listen to be reminded of my approaching stop, I now spend my morning commutes listening to new bands.

This week, I've actually been blasting my favorite band, Maroon 5 while strutting (er more like stumbling...details) down the street (uneven sidewalks inevitably give me trouble).  Although, the majority of my friends criticize them for "sounding the same in every song" but my feeling is that if you have a successful formula, why change it?

OCTOBER 12TH
After spending a good portion of last weekend sipping on almond lattes and reading at Small World in Princeton, NJ, I've been jamming to a rather hipster playlist this week, including:
  • I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers
  • Such Great Heights by The Postal Service
  • Float On by Modest Mouse
  • Sweet and Low by Augustana
  • and (my new favorite obsession) Black & Blue by Miike Snow
MARCH 2012
Looking for exhibits requested by defense attorneys can take hours...literally, so I found that listening to podcasts and Pandora helps to make the time bearable.  Last week I find a new favorite Pandora station ("Adele"), and highly recommend it since it is a rare occurrence when I never skip a song.
